Projects

We have created a myriad of award-winning prime-time television specials, documentaries, music videos and dramatic programs for all the major broadcast networks.   Many of our projects  were among the highest-rated shows on television, including retail videos that set sales records.

Our latest projects include the widescreen docudrama signature film of the Smithsonian's Nat'l. Museum of the American Indian, a mobile storycatcher app and several independent documentaries.  Current projects include an anthropological series about rock n' roll and documentaries

that explore the transference of indigenous wisdom through the work of

uniquely talented musicians and performers.

Narrative

A Thousand Roads

A Thousand Roads is the wide-screen docudrama signature film of the Smithsonian's Nat'l. Museum of the American Indian.  Together with a phenomenal team, we created a 40-minute prayer to Indian Country that runs in the museum's surround-sound theater as an immersive experience, profiling the lives of four Native Americans at a crossroads in their lives, seen against the epic landscapes of their Tribal homes.

For seven decades Abe Osheroff fought on the front lines of social activism - from the battlefields of the Spanish Civil War to the killing fields of Nicaragua, the witch hunts of McCarthy to the sharecroppers of Mississippi to streets across the US, Abe raged against injustice.  Now, this master storyteller takes us on a passionate, insightful journey inside the defining conflicts of the 20th Century with irreverent humor and unwavering commitment to a lifetime of engagement.

For a dozen years, ECO was the film industry's environmental messaging arm.  Each year, we created an impactful, empowering short-form trailer / PSA that ran on movie screens throughout the U.S. and in thirteen languages around the Globe.

Narrative

Treasure Island - the Adventure Begins

When Steve Wynn was building Treasure Island, his family-friendly casino and resort, he enlisted Jim Hart, the writer of Steven Spielberg’s Hook, to create an adventure-fantasy telefilm for NBC to launch the resort's opening.  I joined Jim to collaborate on the story and to produce and direct this tongue-in-cheek, epic film that captures the resort’s themes and entertainment, including: a massive pirate sea-battle, Cirque du Soleil’s Mystere, the Mirage dolphins and

  a grand finale implosion of the Dunes Hotel.

Music Performance / Documentary

Carole King - One to One

A few years after the release of her historic album Tapestry, Carole performed a private, intimate concert for friends on a sound-stage in Austin, Texas.  I directed this one-hour television special, capturing her performance and weaving it together with an engaging, talking-and-singing interview where the legendary singer-songwriter takes us inside her life and artistry.  Carole was in her prime and offered brilliant, heart-felt performances of her greatest hits with a stellar band, including some of Austin’s finest studio musicians.

In addition to videos with Elton John and others, while I was at Disney, I produced and directed a series of music videos featuring major artists performing new versions of the classic songs from Disney's most celebrated films.  Each video was conceptualized and designed as a unique video genre, informed by the key themes and qualities of each song.

Interactive - Anchor

Our stories inform the next generation, providing a compass of ethics, experience and wisdom - the touchstones of our lives - to guide our children and grandchildren.  But most of our stories are lost forever.  So I developed an app to preserve our personal stories, based around the key areas of our lives, with prompts to help easily ellicit those stories.  

I called it the "Storycatcher".

 This is the unusual story of a multi-state cannabis company, coming into the Heartland of America - where the company's commitment, professionalism and ethics were tested by a community raised on "reefer madness".

This two-minute product / branding video highlights GrowRay’s breakthrough LED lighting systems for cannabis, while establishing the company’s strapline.

Bright Prospect - Empowering Students to

In Pomona California, this successful non-profit organization empowers students to and through college while transforming the community.  This video captures the essential value of Bright Prospect and was highly successful in securing ongoing donations from individuals and philanthropic organizations.
